Menus
easySite Menus architecture
A menu workspace is a menu collection composed of:
  • Themes ;
  • Each theme contains one or more menu commands ;
  • When the user clicks one of these commands, he can be redirected to:
    • A particular page (physical or virtual) within your site;
    • An external page (hosted on another site or domain);
    • A Menu workspace (that acts here as a sub-menu).

Workspaces are classified by domain … which allows you to manage menus according to the logical architecture of your site (example: public menus, administrative menus, data access menus… and so on)

Working with menus

This procedure can also be helpful for preparing new menu commands without having them being displayed into the (public) user interface.

To create a new menu collection:

  • Create a new menu workspace related to the newly created domain;
  • Create menu themes related to the new workspace;
  • Create menu commands related to each of the newly created themes;
